My Worlds poetry

This was a pilot project funded by Arts About Wandsworth to explore using author workshops to generate poetry on a given theme, toward a future poetry competition. The schools involved in the pilot were Christchurch Primary, Battersea, and Battersea Technology College year 7. The poets who led the workshops were Valerie Bloom and Adisa.

The theme was to explore the mix of home life with school or ’street’ life, allowing children and young people to reflect the rich mix of parental background and youth culture that makes up young people’s lives.
