How does the South African trekker Paul Geraghty come to be friends with the London based author/ illustrator and part-time magician Nicholas Allan? Watch them both draw and talk (and laugh) in their new Author Show for children.

Paul Geraghty is a fantastic author and illustrator. The wild animals of his South African childhood are a big influence on his work. The Hunter was short listed for the Kate Greenaway Medal for illustration, and won the Earthworm Award (sponsored by Friends of the Earth), while Solo won the Children’s Book Award - out of 392 books, judged by 70,000 children nationwide. His first novel, Pig, won the Longmans Young Africa Award, and more recently, Tortuga and Rotten & Rascal have both won awards in France.

Nicholas Allan is a very popular storyteller and illustrator - who loves to draw and entertain his audiences. He published his first book, The Hefty Fairy in 1989. Since then he has been a full-time writer and illustrator. Many of his books are bestsellers, including The Queen’s Knickers, Jesus’ Christmas Party, The Happy Princess (the life of Diana), and Cinderella’s Bum & The Dove. His books have won many awards and have been translated into twenty languages. He is also the author of Hilltop Hospital which has been adapted into a BAFTA-winning television series for CITV, and is shown in over forty countries.
