Making the Change - Project Outcomes

Making the Change was a project run by the Children's Discovery Centre 2009-2010 to help children manage the change between Primary School and Secondary School.

14 experienced Authors took part in the project.
473 children engaged in a written exchange with an author.
3,879 children encountered an author as part of the project.

Authors filmed video performances with us to support children making the change between Primary school and Secondary school.

Project Outcomes - Our authors worked with 3,879 children in their schools

The authors worked with Year 5 and Year 6 children in schools, inspiring them to embrace change and authorship.
Authors also worked with other children in the schools, in assemblies and performances reaching a large number of children.
