Poems by Seaton House School

In October 2006 the writer Valerie Bloom visited Seaton House School in Sutton, Surrey. She performed her poetry, and ran workshops. This is some of the writing produced in one workshop on metaphors with Year 4, where the children wrote poems about a friend, or their family.

Olivia
You are the spice in my chicken
The cranberrries in my juice
The whiteness of the snow drop
And you are the homeliness of my bedroom
That is why you are my best friend
