SPUD AND YAM PERFORMANCES
Telling Stones
A programme where no stone is left unturned without its story being revealed. Think of a world without stones and realise what a mushy place we’d live in. From sparkling gem stones fulfilling dreams of wealth and treasures, to ancient stones of destiny predicting disaster, from tiny grains of sand to giant mountain boulders, all have their stories to tell. Children are invited to pick a stone and help unearth its secret. Come hear telling stone stories come hear Telling Stones. This programme also includes songs, games, and rhythms using stones - a sort of rock and pebble show.
Suitable for KS2 (7-11 yrs) and KS3 (11-14 yrs).

Story Feast
Feast your ears on Spud & Yam food for thought. There are stories to tickle your taste buds, some may be hard to swallow, and others will go down a treat. In this self service show children can choose the menu. Which sweet/spicy or scary stories are to be served up from the Spud & Yam stock pot? All ingredients will bring their own distinctive flavour to add to our unique international feast of delightful stories, delicious songs and music.
Suitable for KS1 (4-7yrs), KS2 (7-11 yrs) and adaptable for K53 (11-14).

No Where No Better
There’s no place like home. Where’s home? Where the heart is. Where’s the heart? Where your feelings are cherished, where your memories rest, where your stories are stored.
No where no better than here, no time no better than now to share stories passed on from way back home in Ireland in Jamaica or from wherever you come from yourself. A programme blending music and songs with anecdotes, folk tales and old stories from the Irish/Caribbean traditions and beyond.
All shows run for approx. one hour except for under 5s shows which are usually 45mins.
“The children were enthralled, as were the staff. They provide a lively programme from two perspectives” Atwood Primary School, 30th March 2007.
