yvonne-coppard.jpgI am best known for ‘Bully’ and ‘Not dressed Like That, You Don’t!’ but have written around twenty books for children and teenagers, mostly for readers aged 8-14. I write both serious and humorous fiction, and some non-fiction for teachers, dealing with child protection and bullying.
SCHOOL SESSIONS
I am an experienced school visitor and speaker, delivering workshops and talks for children, INSET sessions for staff and sessions with parents and the community. I am happy to work with children aged 8 – 18 and with staff, parents and community groups. In workshops (max size 25) we explore an aspect of writing (e.g. characters, or coming up with ideas) with lots of practical ‘have-a-go’ experience. In talks (max 60), I work as interactively as possible, engaging an audience in building a new story as well as talking about my own work, and answering questions. I offer three presentations in a day with an optional lunch-time book signing if requested.
