Michael T. Adewale
Having been brought up in a single parent family living with four other siblings on a dangerous council estate in South London; Michael Adewale has exceeded people’s expectations of him. As a student, Michael struggled with his studies and lived in an uninspiring environment that encouraged a life of failure, drugs and crime. However armed with the motivation to remain and achieve in school; he went on to become a qualified teacher in secondary education. He has also just finished writing his motivational book entitled Class Dismissed – A guide book for teens in Secondary Schools and Sixth Form.
Through his speeches and workshops Michael inspires the students he works with to embrace a positive attitude towards learning, fulfil their potential, and aspire to have a greater future. His exciting workshops are designed with SEAL in mind as he believes that Every Child Matters.
Michael has a wealth of knowledge to share, he has extensive knowledge in his field, and most important of all, he keeps his message REAL.
WORKSHOPS
His inspirational talks and workshops are aimed at Years 7-13 (ages 11-18).
Options:
1. One group is selected to take part in workshops for the whole day.
2. Different groups are selected to take part in a 60 minute workshop.
You can choose to have either 3 different groups for a half day or 5 different groups for a full day.
3. A Six week programme where the nominated group will take part in a 60 minute workshop per week.
In the workshops, pupils will learn strategies and techniques to help them:
• Improve their self-esteem
• Enable them to feel more confident to stand up to peer pressure
• Teach them the importance and benefits of goal setting in life
• Teach them how to set goals and achieve them
• Help them overcome anger and consider their options
