ann-evans-for-web.jpgI’m a children’s author and non-fiction feature writer. My books are geared for the 8-12 age range and are thriller/mystery/adventure stories for boys and girls. I currently have nine novels published, the last three making up a trilogy (the latest of which was released in the summer of 2008.)

My non-fiction is appropriate for all ages but is usually intended for adult readership. I have published well over a thousand non-fiction articles covering a wide variety of topics including celebrity interviews; food, drink and gardening features; travel articles; many features on dogs and other animals; stories on collectors, collections and antiques - and more.

I’m a member of the Society of Women Writers and Journalists, the NUJ and the Scattered Authors Society. My latest novels are The Beast, The Reawakening and Rampage, published by Usborne.

Workshops
Ideally I prefer to talk to a maximum of 30 children at any one time, rather than whole assemblies, but I will do short ‘introductory’ assemblies if I’m at a school for a visit – basically to say hello to everyone. I do a maximum of four sessions per day.

My talks and workshops cover all aspects of creative writing – except poetry. Alternatively I can give talks or workshops on the non-fiction side of writing, eg writing for newspapers and magazines. All talks and workshops can be geared to a specific theme or topic in line with an individual teacher’s requirements if requested beforehand. I’m happy to work with all age groups from infant to adult, but ideally from primary aged children to adult.
